Carribian Seagull Posted July 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2012 Dear Cruise critic members, Is taking an Amtrak to the Penn station in Newark, and then taxi cab to the cruise terminal a good option? Is it easy to get a cab at the train station, and how much would it be? Many thanks in advance! I am very stressed. Pease help!
megr1125 Posted July 9, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2012 Yes...yes...and about $45-50 plus tip. It is not far...it is just expensive. If you can, depending on when you sail...you might want to come up a day ahead. Sometimes there are lots of delays and you never know when....there can be broken down trains (even commuter trains..in some areas, Amtrak and commuter lines use the same track...) otherwise, come up VERY early...i would add an extra hour or 2.....you just never know....
