wldflr Posted July 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2012 We're currently looking at sailing on the Noordam in the Caribbean this winter and to save $, we're considering booking a balcony guarantee (done this 2 times before). Looking at the deck plans, though, I've noticed that there are a lot more VF balcony cabins on the Noordam than on other ships (like the Zuiderdam). Just wondering if our chances for an upgrade are slim to none? Anyone want to share their Noordam upgrade stories? And yes, we would be happy to be in a VF if that's what we got. Would even entertain an upsell offer to a suite if it was good. Hoping for a sale since we are now about 6 months from sailing.
jtl513 Posted July 12, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2012 I've noticed that there are a lot more VF balcony cabins on the Noordam than on other ships (like the Zuiderdam). No, they're exactly the same: 4005 to 4042 (except the included insides), 5051 to 5070, and 5125 to 5140 on all four Vistas. On the two Signatures there's 2 more, 5123 and 5128. Your chance of an upgrade depends entirely on how many cabins above VF are booked, and there's no way to predict that. We've done 6 guarantees on Vista ships, never higher than a VD, and we've been assigned a VB once and a VA 5 times. YMMV
