Clock Time?

Ship's time is always on the time zone of the depature port, i.e. Florida ports=eastern time,

New Orleans= Central time, LA= Pacific Time, etc. It does not change when crossing time zones so ship's time and local time may not be the same in certain ports of call.

Not always.... it depends on where you are going. If you'll be staying in the Caribbean you may not have to change your clocks from your departure port time.... or if you go to Alaska from Seattle or Vancouver.

But if you go to Hawaii from LA you will change time on the ship. Same for Panama Canal... South America.. Europe... trans-Atlanic.... trans-Pacific to Australia... yea, you get the idea. m--

Last cruise, we stayed on ship's time. Before that, we changed "changed clocks" twice. It doesn't hurt to check your Fun Times every day when you're on board. Better yet pester the purser's (oops! guest services) desk to find out.;)

In all of our years of cruising, one thing we can say with certainty is that almost nothing is "always" on a cruise ship ;)

The old West Coast Spirit itinerary that included Acapulco would go from Pacific to Mountain to Central time and back. Of course Hawaii always has changes of two or three hours depending on D.L.S. (Hawaii doesn't do it)
