Walk from Water Taxi to Beach on Paradise Island?

Hi. I have never visited Paradise Island and need some help, please!

We would like to take a water taxi to Paradise Island from the cruise port in Nassau and then go to a beach within close walking distance. Are there any close to where you are dropped off and how far is it to walk to Atlantis from the water taxi drop off point?

Which beach would you recommend we visit on Paradise Island, is there a cost to use it and are there any facilities close by?

Thanks for your help!

Cabbage Beach is a nice free beach next door to Atlantis. The walk is not that far - maybe 10-15 minutes - but it can be a bit confusing. The name of the street that you follow is Casino Drive. As you leave the dock area, stay to the right to get around a rotary and you have to cross a couple of major streets. Just keep heading towards the RIU hotel (you can see it as you walk). There were a lot of people walking that way when we were there so we just followed the crowd. Your best bet is to get a map before you get on the water taxi (they have lots of them at the port building in Nassau harbor). I don't think that Cabbage Beach has any restrooms but there are beach chairs for rent and vendors doing jet ski rentals, massages, hair braiding, etc. There is also a snack shop at the RIU hotel at the beach.

Atlantis is closer to the dock - 5-10 minute walk. You can get there on Casino Drive as well. You will pass by Atlantis as you walk towards Cabbage Beach.
