In Port Christmas Day...Will anything be open?

Even if you never book excursions through the ship, Christmas Day is a good time to do so.

While we've never been to Belize on Christmas Day, we have been to other Caribbean ports. On Christmas Day or any other national holiday we ALWAYS book an excursion through the ship. :)

If it is that cruise port shopping area, it probably will be. I was in Belize earlier this year (independent land tour) and learned that you'll find few if any Belizeans in that shopping area with all the staff coming from outside Belize. FWIW, I was in Belize on Good Friday and all the shops were closed other than for gas stations. This was true in San Ignacio, Belmopan (Belize's capital city) and Placencia. I believe even the Chinese grocery/general stores were/had to be closed that day.
