Why does CCL charge more for cruises from Fort Lauderdale as opposed to Miami?

There are more ships in Miami than Fort Lauderdale. Fewer ships = higher price.

Miami is closer to most of the itineraries so takes less gas to get there maybe?

Miami and Ft Lauderdale are less than 30 miles apart driving so I am sure this has costs them very little difference.

 

I agree, there are a ton more options out of Miami to choose from.
