bahamalvr Posted July 31, 2012 #30 Share Posted July 31, 2012 Hi Brittney, LOVE your photos and review. Quick question, I am new to this board and not sure how to message, but could you possibly email me some of your general photos of the cruise? One of my friends was on that cruise, but lost all his pics (maybe you even ran into him!). I was wondering if he could have a few pics of the ship/islands/views that you don't mind sharing? I'm not sure how to privately message and I don't want to post my email for the whole world to see (and be swamped with spam), maybe you know how? Thanks so much!! Britbrie Posted August 1, 2012 Author #32 Share Posted August 1, 2012 Today we slept in a little later, and then went up to the lido deck for breakfast. After breakfast, we went to the steakhouse for the cooking demonstration. The steakhouse on the Valor is called Scarlett and themed with the whole southern/plantation decor. At the cooking demonstration, they made mushroom cappuccino, chicken, spinach and mushroom salad, and tiramisu. View of the steakhouse Chandelier in Scarlett's The dishes They also had the ship's watermelon and ice carver do a demonstration
Britbrie Posted August 1, 2012 Author #33 Share Posted August 1, 2012 After the cooking demonstration, we walked around the ship for a little while and then went to the art auction preview. After signing up for the art auction, we checked out the Paris Hot lounge next door to the Eagles Lounge. After the art auction, we played some slots and blackjack in the casino... and then went back to the room to get ready for the elegant night. Dinner tonight featured alligator on the Didja ever menu, and being from Louisiana I definitely had to try it! It wasn't too bad, just nothing like what we have at home! haha. Britbrie Posted August 1, 2012 Author #34 Share Posted August 1, 2012 My favorite--> Prime Rib! It was delicious! Tonight I brought my cajun seasoning with me to put on my steak. After dinner, we went back to our room to change out of our formal attire before the show. The show, Nightclub Express, was interesting to say the least. I am not so sure that I'm a fan of the whole talking couch, but at least Carnival is trying to incorporate new shows! After the show, we went and walked around the ship for a little while. A little later, we went to bed to get up in time for our excursion in Grand Cayman! Up Next--Grand Cayman.

CruisinloversfromTexas Posted February 20, 2013 #43 Share Posted February 20, 2013 We arrived at the cruise terminal and found that the porters had quite a chaotic system going on. Luggage was everywhere, and these men were working VERY hard. We tipped our porter and proceeded to the security area. After making our way through the scanners, we walked up the stairs to the VIP check-in room. Here is a view of the terminal: Upon entering the VIP room, we handed an employee our check in papers and were told to take a seat. Inside the room, lemonade and water were offered and within literally a minute or so we were called to the desk. Check-in was a breeze, and there was NO wait at all. We were then allowed to proceed to board the ship! Here's the complaining part again... I HATE that the photographers are stationed before getting on the ship. It just adds way longer of a wait, and I am personally not a fan of a picture where I am bogged down with carry on luggage. We skipped the picture opportunity and proceeded onto the ship. As soon as we were on the ship, we headed straight up to the lido deck to eat some lunch. I headed straight for the burrito bar and got a chicken and bean burrito, and let me tell you... it was sooo good! Today they also offered strawberry cake pops which were pretty legit as well. After lunch, we bought a bottomless bubbles pass and went around the ship to explore. Jeanne's Wine Bar OMG!!!! I was on this cruise and I see my husband and I at the check in line! That is too crazy!! I just now found this review! Hi!
