Taxi Port Lucaya one way?

Is it hard to get a taxi without paying for round trip to the Port Lucaya Marketplace. I don't want to agree to a particular return time.

 

How about getting a taxi to take you back too.

I've always only paid for one way to Port Lucaya each time I've been in Freeport. Never have I paid for the round trip, even though they try to get you to--just get out of the taxi van and you're free to do as you please. Most recently I was there in April.

What cost per person?

I believe it was $5 per person. You have to wait until the van is full before they'll leave, but it usually fills up within a few minutes. Some have air conditioning and some do not.

Sorry I didn't see the question about the return trip. It's also very easy to get a taxi van back to the port from Port Lucaya. They are lined up at the hotel right across the street from the marketplace where they drop you off. Right at the the casino entrance. But, this past April, we ended up getting a van from the port to Port Lucaya that must have been a different company--first time that happened and we were taken to the end of the marketplace and dropped there. Not too far done, nevertheless, it was different than other times. I prefer the other drop off point and that is where I like to get a taxi van back to the port. They're very friendly and quick to fill the vans. Sorry I can't remember the name of the hotel/casino.

I appreciate all the information. I didn't want to insist on only one way and then not be able to get a ride back!
