Restaurant in Dover

We will be staying in the Best Western in Dover and are looking for a place to have a pre-cruise dinner with some of the people in our roll call. Can anyone give me any suggestions for a place for dinner that is in within walking distance of the Best Western?

Dover is not a very up market town, so good restaurants are a bit few and far between. However, there is a nice restaurant in the High Street called The Allottment.

 

You can look it up on the internet, we went on a Saturday night and had booked a table, which was just as well, because it was busy.

 

I don't know how far it is from your hotel, but it won't cost you much in a taxi.

We'll be spending the night in Dover in May 2013 and are looking for suggestions on accomodations. If you find the time can you tell us a bit about the Best Western. But especially once you have stayed there.
