Sugar free WCMC

I loved the Sugar Free Orange Cake- they also have sugar free ice creams.

 

As golfadj said, its the butter and eggs that are the fattening part- diet butter & egg substitute?

 

Diet butter??? As my son would say make it low fat and low taste.

There are so few ingredients in this dessert that each one plays a crucial part in the end result. You couldn't just replace the sugar with sugar substitute and expect a similar result. The sugar plays more than the role of sweetness, it contributes to the texture.

Froufie, I was told by one of the Chefs that they are using Splenda in sugar free deserts.

 

Thanks for the info - that is good news (if you have ever eaten sugar free stuff made with sugar alcohols I"m sure you know the 'troubles' one might have if consumed in any great quantity! :eek::o)
