Cruising the 1st week of Sept. to Bahamas and Key West...

Thinking of going to the Sheraton/Wyndham area and getting a day pass (thinking Sheraton).

I heard something about construction??? Anyone know about this situation? Should this place be avoided???

Sheraton should still be in good shape.. they are being very protective of their guest to keep the construction noise to a minimum.

Wyndham along with the casino and pool.. will be closed.

We are going in Dec. concerned about the construction as well. Will the Wyndham be gone by then. I have read it will be torn down not sure if that is correct? Really want to do the Sheraton asked if you could use the Wyndham property with the pass to Sheraton and was told no but maybe I was not talking to the right person. Or maybe it is not going to be there? Debating about doing the day room to ensure we have a reservation, we have about 20 in our group and just am not sure if that could be a problem as far as avail. I was thinking even if we got 4 rooms and added the extra people that would at least cover 16 people, what do you think?

I wouldn't count on using the wyndham. Rumour has it they are closing early next month, including the casino and pools. It will be a demolition zone.

As far as the Sheraton is concerned, it's business as usual. I think your plan may be a good one, since it may be taking on the wyndham cruise guests as well.

Booking a day room would be the only way to guarantee a spot..

You didn't mention what day in Dec.. but if it's close to the holiday... sheraton could restrict the # of cruisers each day.
