VIP disembarkation time?

We're taking a Christmas cruise on the Conquest and will be staying in a suite, so we get VIP embarkation and disembarkation. My question is what time can we get off the ship? Usually i schedule an afternoon flight to allow plenty of time to get off the ship and to the airport, but i really need to get home ASAP so i would like to book an early flight if possible

FLL or MIA port?

Ft. Lauderdale we usually book 11am or noon flights.

Miami we made a noon easily.

Can something happen to delay debarkation? Sure. We have had that experience only once and it was a port we drove to.

With a suite you will probably recieve a #2 for debarkation. You can also do express walkoff if you can handle all your own luggage to the taxi.

We're sailing out of New Orleans if that makes any difference

VIP gets early #1 or #2 debark, or as mentioned do self assist if you can handle your own luggage. Either way let guest relations know you have an early flight and this should help.

do the suite guests get #1 tags to get off.........or is that just for the platinum and diamond guests??

I know they get on with the VIPs but wasn't aware they also got off with the #1s also

Well I went on the Freedom in January and we were given #1. Off the ship before we knew it. Here is the VIP debarkation program is outlined on CCL Board.

Priority Debarkation

In addition, Platinum, Diamond VIFP guests and those traveling in deluxe suite accommodations will receive a debarkation letter offering a choice of how they would prefer to disembark the ship. They will be given the option of Self Assist (where offered) or Priority Debarkation; for Priority Debarkation, the guest will receive special luggage tags which will entitle them to debark the ship after the Self Assist guests but before the remainder of the guests.

Thanks, Hank that must be new with the new VIFP program. Suites never use to get priority debarkation.

We have been traveling in penthouses since 1995 and have never had a time we were not escorted to our luggage area.

Suite guests and the different levels of loyalty consumer are all VIP's in the eyes of Carnival and that is as it should be.

we got off after the last self disembark group. I would say we were group zero...meet in an accessory dining room, assistant director walked us to gangway and we were off. 20 of us tops, luggage grabbed, customs cleared and into a taxi under 10 minutes. I know better than to post this, but we sailed and flew from FLL and we could of easily made a 10:00am flight.

With that being said you're flying from New Orleans, the trip back to the airport is loooong and adds a lot of time to any estimate.

Sorry, but are you confusing Carnival with another line??? Have had suites the last 5 cruises with Carnvial and have yet to get escorted off the ship???? Just curious!

Here is the way we were the first off the ship. Once we docked, I stood on the balcony and waited until I saw the gangway touch the ship. Then, we headed down to the lounge we were assigned for self-debarkation. We happened to arrive at the entry of the lounge just as customs released the ship to start debarkation, turned around and walked off the ship.

With respect, no I' m not confused. Even though Carnival does not do near as much as Royal in these regards they still treat us great in what they do.

We stick with the Fantasy class just because we enjoy the Penthouse location. What they do for us and I assume others started under Bob Dickinson and still happens but I cannot speak for anyone but us.
