Allure - best deck recommendations

I would choose deck 8 near the rear elevator/stair lobby. This will allow you easy access to Central Park, 2 flights down to the Boardwalk, 3 flights down to the Promenade. If you want to go someplace towards the front of the ship, like the Solarium or computer rooms, then you can walk through Central Park rather than through a seemingly endless hallway of cabin doors.

If deck 8 doesn't work for you, then any deck between 6 and 10 would be convenient. If being near the rear elevators doesn't work for you, then near the forward elevators is a great choice too.

In our experience, it is really important to be near the elevators/stairs because it makes getting around this huge ship more efficient and minimizes the amount of walking you have to do. (We are not in top physical condition, and we felt rather exhausted - there were times when we passed up doing something on the other side of the ship because we felt too bothered to walk there.)

I agree with DonnaK. We've had staterooms on deck 8 on Allure and Oasis and loved it. It's nice to be able to take a short walk to Park Cafe for AM coffee or breakfast and for snacks in the PM. It's also pleasant to walk thru Central Park when going from one end of the ship to the other instead of thru a hallway where you pass door after door after door.
