Shade at the beaches??

Are there any trees to provide natural shade at either or both Cemetary beach or the Marriott beach? We were at the Marriott beach(next to Seagrape) a week before hurricane Ivan hit and there were many seagrape trees for shade. However, when we were there last month our taxi driver said there was no shade anywhere along 7 mile beach since Ivan. We took his word for it and just went to Royal Palms hotel where the lounges are free. But we will be there again in Sept. and would like to find a spot with natural shade.

I visited Sea Grape/Marriot beach last month and there are still a few small trees left on the beach but they are very small and offer only very minimal shade. What little natural shade you will find will be taken by the locals that setup and takedown the umbrellas and chairs or otherwise work for the vendors. You would be very lucky to find adequate natural shade in the Sea Grape/Marriot area.
