What time does everything open in St Thomas?

We arrive in St Thomas at 7am, will there be anything open or should we take our time getting off the boat?

I would take your time. Stores are open 9 am till 5 pm........

Take your time. When we were there in April, we got off the ship and hopped onto a taxi for Sapphire Beach. We had people on the taxi with us that just wanted to go to town, and when we dropped them off, everything was shut up tight. They got off and looked a little dumbfounded and didn't quite know what to do or where to go. We were happy to go to the beach for a couple hours, then hit the downtown area for lunch and shopping before heading back to the ship. Everything was open and bustling by the time we got there. I LOVE Downtown Charlotte Amalie!!
