cruisinJenF Posted August 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 15, 2012 I was looking at the deck plans for the Sunshine- thinking about a Med cruise for next summer. It looks like there is no Thalasotherapy pool in their spa? I see the thermal suites but no pool. Am I just blind? That's the main reason to use the spa! Boo :( why pay for a spa cabin or spa pass with no pool? It looks like just deck after deck of cabins- not a lot of public space on this ship. I guess if i cruise the Med it's a good time to try another line- the Sunshine just looks crowded.
spencercoop Posted August 15, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 15, 2012 You are correct. There is no Thalasotherapy pool on the Sunshine. So I would think that they would (or should) make the spa passes cheaper compared to the Splendor/Dream/Magic/Breeze.

jonbgd Posted August 16, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 16, 2012 If that was a new ship it would be there but since Carnival is refurbing a ship  When RCCL stretched the Enchantment they kept the same name so not to decieve the public
notalandlover Posted August 16, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 16, 2012 And what would a thalasotherapy pool be? It's a big hot tub that is treated with minerals. :D:D:D I call it my happy place. They're a lot bigger than standard hot tubs.
maggieworkman Posted August 16, 2012 #8 Share Posted August 16, 2012 When I first saw the plans, I thought the design was just showing a vague space for "spa". Are you looking at some new plans? I was hoping that was why there wasn't a T-pool - just not specified on the plans yet since it was early stages. Maggie

I hope they add one- otherwise I don't see the point of the spa or spa cabins. The Thermal Suites are nice- but you need the T-Pool!! It's the best thing there is! spencercoop Posted August 16, 2012 #10 Share Posted August 16, 2012 If you look on this part of the Carnival website, it specifically states that the Sunshine will not have a t-pool. https://www.goccl.com/irman/bookccl/shipboard_knowledge/DR_Cloud9Spa.htm The Thalassotherapy Pool, covered by a glass dome featuring jets of water jets massaging your body as it soaks in ionized water. The pool featuring jets of water jets massaging your body as it soaks in ionized water at temperature 91°F temperature (33°C).Note #1: Not available on the Carnival Sunshine. Note #2: For those guests who do not purchase a Spa Stateroom, a fee applies.
