were you there or got pictures of the site. i was there last year but cou;ld not see much. i want to go on tour around march before she leaves theb shipyard any idea when thsat will be.,. i am on the 1 nt cruise too. had a few probs getting the pictures.

Some of the pics are given to us by NCL others by members who post them that visited the yard. The dates on the site say end of February/ beginning of march, no clear dates yet.

Any thoughts on what sailing the fireworks will start in the fall? I've read the sailings from Bermuda in October. We'll be sailing on the 29th of September out of NY, but will actually be departing Bermuda on the 4th of October for the sail back. Maybe then??? I hope so!

 

Are the fireworks not starting on the Breakaway until the fall, I thought they were going to be on all the Breakaway sailings.

According to the NCL Breakaway site, fireworks begin with the May 12 sailing from NYC to Bermuda.

Wow. I love this thread. Makes me more and more excited for the arrival of the Breakaway. I'm booked for the Breakaway September 2013 and the Getaway for October 2013 and I have the same cabin/number for both:D

Sure hope its ready on time. I think it will be cutting it close, most Bermuda citizens claim that they don't think they finish it on time. We have to wait and see.

Good to hear. The addition of 10 buses will help with the transport of Breakaway passengers. I only hope they lease the extra ferry.

There is virtually nothing about the Getaway yet, but since they are sister ships, does anyone know if the AFT facing balcony cabins on deck 13 are any good? I mean, are they completely covered, uncoverd, or 1/2 in and 1/2 out?

He was onboard with us on the inaugural Carribbean cruise of the Epic. Really nice guy and wants to hear customer's thoughts both good and bad.

I have a question, on NCl ships in general do they have places like on RCCL where you can make your own ice cream cones?

 

The Epic has make your own soft serve ice cream cones by the pool buffet. They're awesome!

CC had an Epic sub-forum during the Epic's construction, I wish they will start another one for the Getaway. It's just so much easier to follow than just one gigantic thread.
