just a girl thing but can't you see up the dresses of women who go up and down the stairs? maybe this was an early drawing of the casino and they changed it?

Half the dresses you can see up as the women walk. More should really wear panties.

Ah, see that's lame, they have no business including the square footage of the balcony with the total cabin square footage. That's like listing a home for sale and including the square footage of the back patio area onto the total square footage. Terrible:(

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

They put all three on the detailed description,

on the headline bit when looking at deck plans catagories it's just the cabin size.

for some the balcony is the important bit once you know you want a balcony.

Most NCL balcony/minis are the same size inside(minis bigger) with a few odd ones.

Well....as you can see below, the drawing is starting to look a whole lot like the real thing, glass steps and all. Now whether or not those are frosted I have no idea, but I can see how those below might have a bit of a "view"...

wow wonder how many complaints they get about these

Not all kids are school age, schools tend to have some weird vacation times, even in these large metroplexes. Here in DFW a couple districts or private schools seem to have a fall break which is weird to me. Foreign kids that may be off. Also, don't forget the home schooled.

I second what you said we were able to take advantage of this great deal for free kids because mine are home schooled this coming year and the laptop is there classroom! :)

Good point(s). Year round schools also provide for unique break schedules.

Ah HA! This is a trick question, cuz studios are interior ;);). Which makes it kinda difficult for Gambee to generate one of his classic photo-w/circle images :D;):D (and I'm assuming you know this studio cabin is interior, yes? :o)

Yes, I know that, and I was not trying to post a trick question. I was so caught up in reading the posts, I didn't think about my question, my bad, LOL.

Nice. I've always wished the online deck plans had the info about which cabins have the bed near the balcony. What I'd really like is an exact 360 degree replica of each cabin online so I can look at every detail :D

I think I know how you can tell, but I could be wrong. If you look at a diagram of the deck or cabin you are staying in, notice the side walls. One is straight and the other makes an indention. Most balconies show this. The one with the indention facing in the room is the one where the bed is close to the balcony. The indention only appears to have room for a sofa. Now look at a real picture. The ones with beds by the balcony have the indention facing in. The ones with the indentions facing away from the room has the bed in that area, away from the balcony. Anybody want to check ne on this..I could be hallucinating...lol. or you can move the beds and sofa around the way we do.:)

I think I see what you mean. I'm no good at visualizing things -- I can still remember staring at some of those SAT questions (many, many years ago) where they show you diagrams and you had to figure out which ones were the same only upside down or something. I had no hope of getting any of those right :eek:

I wonder when cruise-ships . com will update their breakaway ticker, I contacted them almost a month ago and was told in one week. My guess is that all that fancy Peter Max artwork is taking them a little longer than expected. It must be a lot of work.

Hoping someone can assist with this question... My husband recently began wearing an insulin pump that automatically delivers his insulin. His doctor told him it should not be passed through a X-ray machine. We emailed NCL but all they said is they will make note of it. Does anyone happen to use an insulin pump? How do you manage going through the X-ray machines and customs on the islands?? Should we bring a note from the doctor? Would that be enough? I would hate for him to go through the hassle of dealing with a pat down every time he comes and goes ....

Correct me if I am wrong, but I do not believe people go through an x-ray machine. If you husband is wearing the pump, it should be fine. It will probably set off the metal detector. Tell security prior to passing through the machine. Unfortunately, a pat down may be required.

They do indeed, at security before boarding. I am sure they will make an accommodation but as has been said it probably involves a pat down.

Yeah, I agree, I have no problem with him doing it, and kudos to him for taking the time & effort...just that I am continually amazed at how many people are apparently unable to look at a floorplan, find their room, then look at an exterior photo and count back 15 or 20 cabins from the end :eek:. I mean, no offense to those who have been posting these requests, but seriously, am I really the only one thinking this here??? :rolleyes:

Sorry to have offended anyone, I guess my main issue is that it seems to be consuming this thread many days. Maybe a thread of it's own might be a better idea. I by no means mean to criticize Gambee's efforts - I think you are a saint!

I stand corrected. I have never gone through an X-ray machine. Metal detectors yes, but not an X-ray machine.

From the Port Authority website:

  • The following diabetes-related supplies and equipment are allowed through the checkpoint once they have been screened:
    • Insulin and insulin-loaded dispensing products such as vials or boxes of individual vials, jet injectors, pens, infusers and preloaded syringes;
    • An unlimited supply of unused syringes when accompanied by insulin or other injectable medication and transported in a sharps disposal container or other similar hard-surface container;
    • Lancets, blood glucose meters, blood glucose meter test strips, alcohol swabs, and meter-testing solutions;
    • Insulin pump and insulin pump supplies such as cleaning agents, batteries, plastic tubing, infusion kit, catheter and needle;
    • Glucagons emergency kit; and
    • Urine ketone test strips.

    [*]Insulin in any form or dispenser must be clearly identified.

    [*]If the passenger is wearing an insulin pump and explains that they cannot go through the metal detector or be hand-wanded, an alternate inspection process will be utilized.

    [*]Insulin pumps and supplies must be accompanied by insulin with professionally printed labels identifying the medication, the manufacturer’s name or a pharmacy label.

    [*]Passengers have the option of requesting visual inspection of their insulin and diabetes-associated supplies.

Hope this helps:)

  • Passengers are not required to remove their shoes before they enter the walk-through metal detector. However, passengers are encouraged to remove their shoes before entering the metal detector, as many types of footwear will require additional screening even if the metal detector does not alarm.

I cannot find anything on the PA website that states people go through X-ray machines. Metal Detectors yes, but not X-ray.

Where did you get this info.
