Need Honest Answers

Just wanted to update everyone. I did not initially expedite. I mailed it off on a Tuesday and the following Monday when I could see that everything was in their computer system, I called and paid to have it expedited.

 

It arrived Friday the same week via the Houston passport office. Therefore, it arrived in 10 days from the original application being filed at my local post office to the point of paying the extra for the expedited service via telephone call.

 

Boy, I was really nervous about this!! I could kick myself for cutting it that close. By the way I should mention that the lady that I dealt with at the passport office was SUPER NICE. :)

How long did it take for your non-expedidited passport to arrive in the mail? We applied today (08/14/12) and leave home on 09/15/12. Think we're gonna make it?? :eek:

 

Took us about 6 weeks to get ours.

Wife and I submitted our applications at the Post Office on 8/16; got an email earlier this week that they're in the mail and should be here by 9/15. So, about a month for ours.
