Rental car to Ft. Lauderdale

We will driving to Ft. Lauderdale in a rental car. Any suggestions for agencies that will take us to the pier?

 

Also - any suggestions for hotels near Ft. Lauderdale? We will be coming from the North and plan to spend the night just outside Ft. Lauderdale? Thanks

Most of the car rental agencies in Fort Lauderdale will shuttle you to the pier. www.sunny.org will give you lots of info on most of the hotels in the FLL area. Good luck! :)

Where do you reside in Northern Virginia? Before becoming permanent Floridians we were longtime residents of Fairfax County.

Boca Raton is a very nice area about a half hour north of Fort Lauderdale. There are lots of hotels there right off of I95. For example, Springhill Suites is an all-suite hotel that includes breakfast and rooms are about $80 to $170 depending on time of year.

We now live in Fairfax, but I work in Arlington and DC. I hope to move to FLA somewhere down the road -- college and weddings to pay for first. :o
