MikeDMess Posted May 17, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 17, 2005 Do the Balconies Connect on all cabins like princess?
stormyc Posted May 17, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2005 Well, I'm going to take a crack at this one, although I have only sailed on the Oosterdam, another HAL vista class ship AND I am not familiar with the balconies on Princess. (Hopefully more educated answers will be forthcoming from more qualified cruisers! :D ) The front section of the balcony dividers can be opened - I do not know under what circumstances HAL will open these for you, but I have read of it being done. Best Regards,
djludwig@prodigy.net Posted May 17, 2005 #3 Share Posted May 17, 2005 I can't say they connect on ALL cabins but they connect on most. But the cruise line generally keeps the panel in place for privacy. When we were waiting to leave the Zui on 4/23 they opened the gates between balconies so they could clean them more efficiently. seapointer Posted May 18, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 18, 2005 The steward will have them opened if you are travelling with friends or family in the adjoining cabin. Just ask.
HAL92 Posted June 10, 2005 #5 Share Posted June 10, 2005 The balconies have connecting doors, but they always remain locked. You could ask the front office or your room steward if you can open them up it you would like.
Krazy Kruizers Posted June 10, 2005 #6 Share Posted June 10, 2005 The connecting door between verandahs can be opened - it is not a big door. There is a latch at the top of one of the panels that the door can latched onto keep it in place and from banging while the ship is moving.
