Good beach walking with kids

Any beaches within walking distance of ship? We don't want to lug 2 cars eats with us for 2 and 4 yr old boys to take taxi rides (yes, I know laws of physics don't change while on vacation).

There are good beaches to the north and south of the cruise terminal. I would not recommend walking to either of them with two toddlers. If you strongly prefer walking then the south beach, Brownes Beach is the better choice as there is boardwalk and sidewalk most of the way and you get to see some of the city of Bridgetown. It is over 2km either way.

Aside from physics, if you are travelling by taxi, coach or bus in Barbados a car seat is not required. 4 years and older are not required to use car seats but may use back seats with seat-belts.

I would recommend hiring a taxi for the 5 minutes.

Yes, if you make a left when you exit the cruise ship terminal and then cross the street you will see beaches on your right hand side. Just walk as far as you would like and stop whenever you see a nice spot you would like to sit at.
