moved from balcony to mini suite

Are there any differences aside from the square footage? I know I have seen this topic before but could not find it while scrolling down... Thanks for any feedback, this is our first NCL cruise and we are very excited!

There will be a curtain separating the bed from the sofa area, and depending on the ship you will have a bath tub instead of a shower. Other than that not much difference.

Room space itself is smaller because the bathroom is larger in a mini-suite than a regular balcony. Bathroom has the toilet behind a sliding door. Shower with a bathtub is behind a sliding door. Definitely a big difference between a balcony and mini suite in my eyes and worth the extra money - mostly in the bathroom.

Definitely more move around room in the mini over the balcony. As mentioned, the bed has a curtain around it, the bathroom has been mentioned with the tub/shower combination, the couch is full length instead of 3/4, the desk area is much bigger with two desk chairs, and the mini balcony is bigger...deeper. Pleanty of drawer storage also, the closet is large, but close to the edge of the bed. I like minis. Pics of a mini on the Pearl are at the following.

On the Jewel class ships, the minis are about 80 square feet larger than the balcony rooms, according to NCL.
