hannahsmomtoo Posted August 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2012 Will I be able to use my S&S card to purchase the dolphin swim pictures if it **is** a Carnival excursion?

Ken076 Posted August 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 29, 2012 Will I be able to use my S&S card to purchase the dolphin swim pictures if it **is** a Carnival excursion? The Carnival excursions aren't "conducted" by Carnival - they're basically sub-contracted to local tour operators - so I'd expect that they won't recognize/accept your S&S card. Normally they'll take a Credit Card or Cash. ken
crusinpsychRN Posted August 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted August 29, 2012 I really doubt it. As previous poster said they are contracted. I think they'd think your card is a credit card but it won't get accepted.
lastinga Posted August 29, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 29, 2012 We went to Dolphinaris through Carnival and they did not. They were very expensive too. Three pictures for $79USD. I have all of the pictures I need in my head. I took a few pictures of other people while we were having lunch and just pretend it is us. We did have a great time!! HeatherC430 Posted August 30, 2012 #7 Share Posted August 30, 2012 I always get suckered into photos when on excursions (which are always through Carnival). You always have to pay in cash or credit card.
DebBrown Posted August 30, 2012 #8 Share Posted August 30, 2012 I did a private tour in Belize a few years back and the Carnival people actually took our picture. It was available for purchase on the ship.
Rare chasinraynbowz Posted August 30, 2012 #9 Share Posted August 30, 2012 Op, if you can afford the pictures, get them. On my very first cruise, I swam with the dolphins in Nassau and splurged on one photo (I was single at the time with a son in college, so that was a very LOW BUDGET cruise for me). I am so glad I did. Today, that is one of my favorite pictures. My grandson loves it too! He thinks its pretty neat that his grandma has swam with dolphins. DH and I are taking him on his very first cruise next May. I would love to take him to swim with the dolphins, but he is only 5 and still too active (ie spastic) around animals... lol.
