LA post cruise tour and hotel

We will be arriving in LA October 6 aboard the Princess Saphhire.

Our flight back to Canada leaves LAX at 8 AM the next day.

Looking for a hotel fairly close to LAX, but looking to take in a few sites of Hollywood/Bevery Hills area in the afternoon of the 6th.

All the tour companies seem to offer hotel pick in the AM, but we would be looking at an afternoon tour.

Any recommendations for hotels and tours?

You might want to contact Sunseeker Tours out of Long Beach...they can do a tour that picks you...and your luggage...up at the ship, takes you on a tour of all the typical tourist sites...and drop you off at the end at your LAX area hotel...

As to where to stay, this is the one case I'd recommend staying near LAX...because with an 8 am flight out, you will have to get to the terminal around 5-6 am (LAX recommends getting there three hours before your flight time)...

There are a number of hotels right off the airport along Century Blvd. All the big name chains...most are very generic, so I have no great preference...stay as close to LAX as you can...

There are also some choices nearby in Culver City and El Segundo also with free airport shuttles...but the trip will be a few minutes longer...I like the Doubletree in Culver City because there are shops and restaurants within close walking distance and it's a nicer area than Century Blvd., but it also adds an extra ten minutes to that morning trip when you will likely want to get every spare minute of sleep you can get...

Look at the Radisson, Courtyard, Crowne Plaza, Embassy Suites North, sheraton, Marriott and Hilton...they are all within a couple of blocks of the terminal...

We stayed in El Segundo (Hyatt House) for our pre-cruise on the Sapphire. The hotel was ok for our stay, clean & we were a family of 5 looking for a 2 bedroom suite hotel.

We also booked with Sunseeker Tours and had a wonderful day!!! Our family wouldn`t hesitate booking with this company again.

It was lots of fun seeing some of the sights in & around LA. Have a great holiday!

Thanks for your help.

We have booked the tour with Ken at Sunseeker, they will pick us up at the docks in San Pedro, tour LA, Hollywood, etc and drop us off at the Hilton LAX, which I just booked this morning.
