Wavebreakers Posted September 2, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2012 May sound a silly question but just some advice would be appreciated. Last year we sailed 14 nights with P&O, earning 140 portunas points, now transferred to Peninsular club. We have just returned from an 11 night P&O cruise, increasing our points to 250, putting us in the bottom loyaly tier (Pacific I think). We received no loyalty discount on our final on board spend statement. Would we have needed to have already earned 150 points before our cruise to receive the 5% discount on spends, or once we hit the 150 points(after our 1st night on board) should we have received our 5% discount. Thank you :)
Midsomer Madness Posted September 2, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2012 You would have to be in a qualifying tier before you received any discount. The same as if you go up a tier mid cruise, you only recieve the lower rate of discount for that cruise, you'd get the higher discount on your next cruise. jenny wren Posted September 2, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 2, 2012 That is correct....we were at 500 when we began our 35 night cruise and didn't get any extra discount for that cruise as the next level began at 501 points...we did ask if this was correct and it was! :)
