Anyone been to Akko, Israel?

We are going to be in Ashdod for one day and Haifa for two days. We are going to Jerusalem on one trip. Has anyone gone to Akko and would you recommend it? What other excursions from these two ports have you been on?

I was in Acco as a part of a land tour - an interesting small town with an acient fort of course, lots of history as everywhere. Yes, I would recommend to visit Acco, but don't know about ship tours.

 

Is Masada listed anywhere on any tour? This would be my first recomendation.
