Marseille DIY in car

We are trying to decide on Marseille port and where to go. Considering we want to rent a car and are there 7-4 what would you recommend? Please know I have done my research its just everything sounds enticing and I know we have to plan the next trip back one day instead.

 

Would you suggest a Cassis/Calanques day or a visit up into St. Remy and Les Baux, or Avignon or Luberon?

 

We love the ocean and the Calanques look gorgeous but my thought is we live in South Florida and will be in Nice and Eze day prior too. On the contrary medieval towns, winery, olive or provencial tours and markets sound sooo nice!

 

Any input is appreciated. Is it correct also the only place to rent closeby is Saint Charles Train Station, Avis?
