Capri hiking

After reading numerous posts on this board, I think I have my day in Capri planned. I'm just not sure on the timing. We are sailing on the Norwegian Epic and are in port from 7am-7pm.

Here are my plans:

Take the 8:05am or 8:35am ferry.

Take cab to Anacapri-arrive around 9:30-10am

Ride chair lift to Mount Solaro, walk down and stroll around Anacapri.

Taxi to Capri (around 12:30pm?)-walk to La Grotelle for lunch, then do the Pizzolungo walk.

Return to Capri, walk down to Marina and catch the 4:00pm or 4:30pm ferry back to Naples.

 

Is this possible to do in one day?

It looks quite do-able to me, although I've never walked down from Monte Solaro, so I don't know if you're allowing enough time for that.

I've walked it, after having my one and only panic attack on the chairlift going up.:o:o:o I would have done anything to avoid getting back on that thing!:eek:

 

It was a nice walk, I think it took about 45 minutes or so. It was fun peeking into peoples' backyards and getting a glimpse into the way people live (vs the very touristy side of Capri).

 

Enjoy your day, I'm sure your plan will be fine. You're doing the furthest thing first, which is always a good idea. Worst case scenario you have to skip your planned lunch or cut your walk short.
