keystonemama Posted September 20, 2012 #29 Share Posted September 20, 2012 Not sure why this smoking thing happened, in May this did not happen, we are smokers, people only smoked by the Casino door and on one side of Lido or upstairs Lido? They were pretty strict about this. NEVER saw anyone smoking by the pool, even as a smoker I would have told the crew people were smoking by the pool because we are responsible smokers and always aware of those around us. tamirpr Posted September 20, 2012 #30 Share Posted September 20, 2012 Okay, I was SERIOUSLY not turning this into a smoking debate. To each his own, in my opinion. I'm not passing judgment on anyone. If they're smoking in a designated area, who am I to complain? As I said, it could have been just the number of smokers this sailing, a lack of enforcement or the particular smokers. I'm not saying the entire ship was a big ole RJ Reynolds puff fest. It was a problem on the promenade and the pool. I have never experienced this situation on other ships. That's why it struck us as odd. I think the ventilation system problem in our room was a problem with design, not the smokers on board. It was actually told to us that the smoke coming into our room was from where the employees smoke. How much of that is true, I don't know. Now everybody play nice.:)

tamirpr Posted September 20, 2012 #34 Share Posted September 20, 2012 thanks now i might be a little nervous. where did they move you to They moved us to a room that the person didn't show up on the cruise. Their VIP welcome letter was still in the room when we got there. Give it a chance. It could be ours was the bad room. I don't know. The room was great. It's roomy. But if you smell smoke the first night, trust me that it will get worse and be proactive.
keystonemama Posted September 20, 2012 #35 Share Posted September 20, 2012 I'm thinking lack of enforcement also? We had a difference CD on our cruise, don't really know if that makes a difference? Our bartenders at the casino bar enforced people smoking only close to the casino doors, am glad, even though I am a moderate smoker, I can't stand to be "enclosed" in a smokey area or have my cabin smell like smoke. Ineed2cruise247 Posted September 27, 2012 #36 Share Posted September 27, 2012 I'm booked on this cruise October 20-25th, can't wait. I was originally in E48 but just received an upgrade because the price dropped and I didn't do early saver, They bumped me up to V28. My only wish is that they have the all you can drink package by the time I cruise on the Paradise!
