Hello everyone. Leaving Thursday 9/27 on Carnival Miracle.. i really need a vacation...one more week!!

i have a couple of questions...

first, i didnt receive a package from carnival with tickets, luggage tags, documents etc.. so im assuming i have to go online and print certain docs??

second, is it true that my wife and i can carry on 1 bottle of wine each??

also, how much cash does everyone typically carry on a cruise? i know most purchases on the ship go on account..i guess just money for casino, islands, excursions etc.?

and last if anyone can give me any tips on anything that i need to make sure i dont forget... i have been so busy and i cant concentrate on anything.

thanks in advance for the advice!

Yes, you need to log onto Carnival to print your documents.

Yes, you can each bring (750 ml) bottle of wine in your CARRY ON bag.

Cash is personal choice.....What I consider reasonable for travel/island purchases may or may not match what you consider reasonable. There are ATMs on the Ship.

Make sure you have your PASSPORTS (or certified birth certificates).

Enjoy!!

FYI, you can also charge cassino to your sail and sign card...and it might be a more viable option than getting cash out of the ATM (if I remember right the ATM charge is $5.00 for a transaction; you could use a $100 credit at the cassino to your sail and sign card, and then cash it out from the cashiers). Whether or not you want to do that may depend on what kind of backup you've provided for your sail and sign card.

Regarding alcohol, make sure they are sealed bottles. They will throw away opened bottles if found.

I was just on the Miracle on 9/3...love that ship! Hope the weather is as good for you as it was when I sailed.

I haven't been on Carnival Line in some time. Sailed on NCL & Royal mostly.

I read that the Miracle has been revamped in 2012.

I am taking my daughter on cruise for her 18th birthday in Jan, I thought it would be a great way to celebrate. We are very close and saw this as having a great time. She has cruised when she was younger and doesn't remember, it was actually on Carnival where she was even chosen as a junior cruise director, lol.

The last cruise I was on we say everyone bringing, cases of water and soda. Does Carnival allow this?

I saw the posting that you can bring one sealed bottle of wine with you, if you wanted to bring another one would they charge you?

Since we are leaving out of NY, and my daughter doesn't have passport does anyone know if an enhanced drivers license would be ok, I have my passport.

So looking forward to this trip with her...
