Embassy Suites San Juan - Hotel & Casino

Can anyone tell me if they had to stay at the Embassy Suites for a minimum of 2 nights?

I called the Embassy and a few other hotels only to be told we had to stay a minimum of two nights. Our group would love to do a pre-cruise stay next August at the Embassy, but only want one nights stay. At this time the only hotel that seems affordable for one night is the Hampton Inn.

Last night I had a sleepless night and decided to start checking for hotels again. Embassy originally had no rooms for the night we wanted to stay and also mentioned a 2 night minimum stay. Imagine my surprise when I pulled up our dates this morning and not only was our date available, there was no 2-night minimum. And bonus, we are receiving a cruise promotion rate which is cheaper than a regular room date. The cruise promotion rate includes free shuttle service from the hotel to the pier. I booked 9 rooms immediately!! #FistPump!

Thanks so much for posting this. We reserved this hotel for Feb 23,2013 at a higher rate without the shuttle service.

After reading your information, I cancelled that reservation and rebooked the cruise prom rate, savings over $100.00.

Thanks again.

Can you let us know how you liked the Embassy when you return?

We were there last month. It is just like most of the airport area ES's in the States. Evening cocktils and good, cooked to order breakfast. Its a 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 to the large casinos.

Our friends from OSJ recommended a beautiful resturant open to the water (La Playita) it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Can you please tell me where La Playita was located. We will be doing a post cruise night and need a place near ES.

Yep. I'm resurrecting an old thread on the Embassy.

Hubby and I will be cruising on Royal's Adventure of the Seas in May 2015, and will be doing a 2 night pre-cruise stay. I love staying at Embassy Suites when we travel and I'm just curious about the street where the hotel is located. For those who've stayed there, can anyone tell me what are the restaurants, stores, etc on the same block (or nearby) that we can walk to? We'd love a short stroll to check out the area, if we don't have to go far. Also, is the Embassy adjacent to the beach, or is that a walk as well?

Lots of questions, but thanks in advance! ;)
