Details on what craft market sells?

Some people have mentioned a flea or craft market across the street from the tourism village. Wood crafts were mentioned. Can anyone be more specific about what is there? Is it just masks or those statues with huge male organs? Or is there something genuinely worth looking at? What are prices like? Thanks

last time we were there my daughter bought one of the most beautiful mahogany bowls I have ever seen. there were all kinds of things from boxes to walking sticks and bookends really I could have spent hundreds of dollars there and come home with more than I could carry. Her bowl holds a large assortment of fruit and she paid $20 for it!

Just outside secure port area from what I hear. :)

 

My mom just got back from a carnival trip and got a beautiful statue made with different kinds of jade... the hardly paid anything for it.

The craft market is just outside the gates and about 1/2 block to the left. you may be bothered by [people trying to sell you things while walking there, but just be firm and say no...thankyou.....and they will leave you alone.....

If you don't want to venture outside the gate, there is a small area for the carvers and other crafts just behind the pharmacy area were the tour buses are staged.
