Legend Extended Balcony....need a couple of questions answered

In regards to the extended balconies on the Legend:

1.) Are you able to request to have the dividers open between adjoining balconies? (do the dividers open on the extended balconies?) We are traveling with friends and would really like this option if available.

2.) What difference is there in an extended balcony cabin that sleeps 2 and those that sleep 3? (of course, other than the obvious...LOL!!!) I thought all balcony cabins had the 2 twin beds and then the couch that makes the 3rd bed. So why is there some cabins that only hold 2 people? What makes those rooms different from other balcony rooms?

They're not different, they are just designated that way. Some are adjoining cabin for larger families, but that's it , two twins and a couch that becomes a bed. Balcony size is the same for 2 as for 3.

We were on the Legend a few years ago and had the panel removed. They didn't do it until the second day (they are pretty busy on day 1). But they are happy to do it for you.

Happy Cruising!

Wondering if opening that panel blocked your view at all? Or do they remove it completely?

When ours was opened it blocked one of our doors, so we used a bungy cord at night to keep it from blowing back and forth and banging on our doors, during the day we would put an ice bucket in the way to block it from moving.

This picture was from the Glory but you can see the ice bucket holding the door

the GLory and LEgend are two different class ships.

Dividers are entirely different.

ON Legend both parties must go to the guest services for the request to have them opened. Only a limited amount can be opened so you want to make your way there as soon as you board.

They will be opened the next day.

When opened the divider is locked onto the railing- it will obstructed the view for one of the cabins.

Sitting on the Legend right now waiting to dis-embark. We had aft cabin extended balcony, 8272 and our neighbors 8277. We requested to have the divider removed but were told they could not on those cabins. We did have the steward bring us both a chaise lounger from the lido deck which was great. The Legend is a wonderful ship. We had a great time.
