Excursions on Vaandam

Does anyone have suggestions for excursions on the upcoming Zaandam-July-Alaska cruise? I'd sure hate to miss a REALLY good one.;)

What ports? - that would help in suggesting some excursions.

Whoops! I did mean the Zaandam. Ports are Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay and Ketchican. Thanks.

You may get a better response, and find more information, over on the Alaska board. Alaska is wonderful...I've cruised there twice on HAL.

Skagway we did the Yukon- White Pass rail and found it very exciting.

 

Juneau you may want to go to Mendenhall Glacier, or a Salmon bake, both of which we enjoyed.

 

Can't remember what we did in Ketchikan.

 

Look for a whale watching excursion. They are always fun.

 

There are no excursions in Glacier Bay as the ship spends most of the day in the Bay and everyone will be out on deck watching the Glacier calving. This was so exciting. Every time a huge hunk dropped off, you could hear the oooh's and ahhhhhhhh's. The scenery is magnifcent.
