babysteps Posted October 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 1, 2012 Hello! Here are a few pictures (on a very inexpensive pocket device - apologies) of the veranda & from the veranda of Riviera cabin 7007. For a picture of 7007 from the dock, see this post by JimandStan who might be able to sell a few coffee table books of their Oceania pictures & encyclopedic knowledge! Cabin 7007 on Riviera is a B4 category, with an extra deep veranda. As you can see we had our steward bring us 2 extra chairs so we could have guests over. If you prefer you could always request pool chaises instead! We did notice that the "Riviera" name is lit up at night, casting a small amount of light up and onto the veranda of 7007. With the black out curtains closed you would never know from inside the cabin. The veranda light didn't work [maybe to not interfere with this lighting of the name?? of course we didn't complain so maybe it was the bulb ;) ] looking from cabin out at veranda view from cabin through veranda at Cadiz We enjoyed the deep veranda very much. Yes folks on upper decks could theoretically see you from their verandas...but only if they are at the rail & looking down at you (notice there didn't happen to be anyone visible in the photos below). There is a "protected" area under the overhang (where no one from above could see you) that's just as big as the 'standard' B4 verandas. looking up & aft........................................looking up & forward looking forward & down at the dock in Lisbon (gives you an idea of where you are if docked on starboard/right side)
JimandStan Posted October 1, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2012 If you are looking for some context, Cabin 7007 is one of the B4 cabins with the extended veranda's.
