Transfers in Baltic Ports: Reserve in Advance

Recommended Posts

We are sailing on the Constellation 7/2/05. We keep hearing about transfers providied by the ship in several "easier" ports that we can do on our own. How do we find out if our ship will have these transfers available in advance and for what specific ports? Can you sign up before the cruise?

The Constellation provided free transportation almost everywhere last summer. I think the only exceptions were Le Havre and St. Petersburg. (Perhaps Oslo also, but the ship docks very close to town.) There was no need to sign up- you just found the bus at each pier. You can call Celebrity and they might be able to tell you if that will be the case this summer.

Just returned from the Constellation 5/7 sailing and there were free shuttles into most towns. You don't have to sign up for anything, just go out, get in line and get on. The return shuttle picks you up right where they dropped you off. They run constantly and will tell you the last shuttle time.
