amocksun Posted October 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2012 I asked this last week, but I directed it at Scubagirl and we didn't get very far so I am going to try again. I'm trying to find the best snorkeling in Nassau, Freeport or Half Moon Cay BESIDES Stuart's Cove. I really wanted to use them but our schedule won't work. We want to see the best fish and coral, would love to see a shipwreck or sharks. Safety is a concern too, we will have our 9 year old who has never snorkeled. I'd like to use an independent company, but we are going on Carnival if anyone can recommend a specific excursion. Oh, and we leave Saturday morning...that's why I'm kinda freaking out trying to find something. Thanks!
cruisegirl1 Posted October 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 3, 2012 Well – this does not exactly answer your question – but I wanted to offer an alternative to use so close to your trip. Our RCCL ship offers a few very good snorkeling excursions in the Bahamas. You might want to consider one from your cruise line. We’ve done a particular excursion several times and were pleased. We generally book private excursions, but is seems this one is well priced and fits our schedule. Perhaps Carnival offers one you can take. One less thing to arrange! Good luck - don't freak out Ps - did a trip with Stewart Cove a few years ago and it was terrific. M
