Question about Sheraton Day Pass

Can we get the day pass at the Sheraton? Or do we have to get it in advance?

Also, the #10 Jitney-is that a trolley??? I assume it is? I know that takes you to the Sheraton, just need to figure out how to get the day passes.

thanks in advance!

Sheraton passes are not available in advance. You purchase them at the front desk when you arrive.

The #10 jitney is a small bus that holds approx 30 people. THey run from 6am - 6:30pm and leave every few minutes. Sundays you may wait up to 10 minutes but usually shorter. The cost is $1.25pp.

How do you get the Jitney #10??? where do you have to go to catch it (from cruise terminal).... and do you tell the driver you wanna go to the Sheraton? how do you know what bus stop you have to get off?

  • 2 weeks later...

We just returned today from Nassau and took a cab to the Sheraton for 20 bucks for the four of us. We looked for the bus, but honestly, they were pretty run down and wanted to go directly to the Sheraton rather than stop everywhere along the way. We paid 30 at the Sheraton per adult and 15 for our son. It was a good day. The prices for lunch are a little steep, but a great day all in all. You can get your day pass right at the desk. The attendant at the beach tried to negotiate with us for half price, but also let us know if we struch a deal with him, we couldn't use the non motorized vehicles....After I declined, he did tell me not to mention his offer to the folks at the front desk!

We also just returned from Nassau, and took the bus to the Sheraton and back. Very easy. (We actually used the #12 bus, as it also went to Cable Beach) However, it was definately a local bus - so others may be more comfortable with the more touristy #10. We were the only non-locals and had a blast. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Especially encouraging since we were two women traveling alone. We caught the #10 back, at the bus stop directly across the street from the Sheraton. Again, the local people at the bus stop were very helpful and super friendly - offering to put us under the shaded bus stop pavillion instead of themselves. The Sheraton is awesome, by the way. Also, be sure to take note of the mega-resort Baha-Mar being built in the vicinity. It's going to be a monster!

You walk out the terminal and walk up to Bay Street and turn right, walk about 5 blocks to George Street (I think) and the buses are right there. You cannot miss them. Take the #10 and tell the driver you want to go to The Sheraton. He will drop you at the bus stop right by the Sheraton. Walk across the street and you are at the hotel.
