There seems to be no ryhme or reason. I spend the same amount on all the cruises I have been on and one time I get something the next I dont. And I cruise often. The only for certain is the $10 back for every 1,000 points on the slots and a free drink card after 1500 points on cruises 5 days of longer.

Hey Christine (AZ cruisers!!). It's very simple to "join" the players club. You only need to setup and establish an account using your S&S while playing any slot machine (you can also be rated during your play at the various table games by presenting your card and asking the pit boss to be rated, but I'm guessing you're primarily a slots player as most folks are).

Basically, as is the case with casinos in Vegas and the like, you need to spend a considerable amount to be noticed for any worthwhile comps). There are certain point amounts you can reach to receive the "drinks on us" promo or $10 credits per $1000 coin-in but the exact formula for figuring comps is complicated and not widely published so it's difficult, if not impossible, to determine exactly what other comps one is entitled to based on past play.

Clear as mud?? Glad I could help my good buddy!! ;):D

Also check out oceanplayersclub dot com for further information.

Good luck,

Scott

Just off Fascination (5 nights) and they asked for everyones S&S card at table games, so evidently they are rating all tables. For 7 day and up cruises, reach 1500 points on slots and you get the "drinks on us" card, good for free drinks while playing in casino. $2.50 played in slots equals 1 point.

If you are a casino gambler on a previous Carnival cruise you may be eligible for free credit and/or gift basket on your future cruise. You have to phone Carnival's player club line (call Carnival's customer service line and they will connect yo to their players club). Some people I know got anywhere from $25 to $75 future gambling credit (not the same as OBC). Give it a try. They will check your gambling history from your past cruise.

Here is the number:

1 866 299-5859 - ocean players club or 1-888-672-2582

You have to give them your booking number, date of new cruise and name. Depending on play you can receive CASH - yes you go to the cage and they hand you cash, no strings. Also you may get fruit, wine, liquor, etc. in your cabin. You will only receive these if you call OR you receive a letter stating something about the cash. The stuff in the room you got to call about.

As others have stated it seems to be hit or miss with not much rhyme or reason.
