bm6pm5 Posted October 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2012 Has anyone done the Sea Lion encounter at Blue Lagoon Island recently? How long do you get to interact with them? Also wondering if you do the observer part can you get decent pictures/video of your family or friends actually doing the encounter. Thanks. debbiet70611 Posted October 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 10, 2012 I did it recently - it was fun - since there was only 3 of us in our group - it took about a half an hour.

They are not set up like the dolphins. Your pictures would be the backs of your families head. From an area slightly above and if I remember correctly, an obstructed view. Interaction is about 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of people in your group. Personally, I love this encounter, have done it twice. It's the observer part that isn't so great. bm6pm5 Posted October 11, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted October 11, 2012 Thanks scuba girl. One more question for you. Do you know what they charge for pictures as I read on their website that they do not let you bring your own camera to the encounter.

bm6pm5 Posted October 11, 2012 Author #6 Share Posted October 11, 2012 Thanks again did not see that option when looking at the website. I guess I'll have to buy one of theirs as they do not let you take your own camera into the sea lion encounter.
