The Sunset Glow Posted October 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 10, 2012 We are doing a western Caribbean cruise in February 2013 and our kids really want to swim with the Dolphins. Has anyone done this in both Grand Cayman and Cozumel? I'm wondering if one is better than the other:confused: If not, can anyone tell me about their experience at either of them? Thanks!! Colorado Kat Posted October 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 11, 2012 I would do the dolphin swim in Cozumel, at Chakanaab.
katnox Posted October 16, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2012 my family and i cruised on the Carnival Conquest in Jan 2011. My then 11yr old daughter and her best friend swam with the dolphins at the Chanakaab(sp?) park in Cozumel. It cost us roughly $100 each, and they had an enclosed area that they all took turns swimming with the dolphins. The only thing i REALLY hated was that they were at the far end of the area and i couldn't get close enough to get any good pics. Which they probably do on purpose, as their pictures are kinda high.lol But my daughter assured me that she absolutely loved it!!
lovevacadays Posted October 25, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 25, 2012 Definitely Cozumel. We thought the Dolphin Encounter/Swim in Grand Cayman was pretty much a joke. Granted we are from Southern California and have Sea World at our back door but Grand Cayman's is pretty basic.
