Rounder Posted October 16, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2012 Can anyone please tell me how many you can buy and how much they are on the Star??? My sister wants to get as many as she can? thank you.;) On the Sun Jan/12 it was $125.00 for 5 carton's of Marlbobro, prices should be fleet wide. Custom's will dictate how many you can bring home duty-free
Jenner9 Posted October 16, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 16, 2012 I believe customs allows for 200 cigarettes...so one carton per person.
Charlie4 Posted October 16, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2012 Paper work says one carton per person, but I always bring back 2 cartons for my hubby
bubbachief Posted October 17, 2012 #5 Share Posted October 17, 2012 I believe you can bring back 5 cartons duty free from the USVI.
rzdj96 Posted October 17, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 17, 2012 It's 5 cartons from the USVI or P/R and 1 carton from elseware. Depending upon brand the average prices are around $35 a carton. Over limit duty fee is $10 per carton.
bestvaluecopy Posted October 17, 2012 #7 Share Posted October 17, 2012 I think one cartons is allowed per person.
BurtonRiderT6 Posted October 17, 2012 #8 Share Posted October 17, 2012 For those living in areas in the Northeast it's much cheaper to buy them and pay the tax as you will still be getting a great discount. I know this because I have friends that ask me every cruise to pick the up cigs and they will pay for them. They say even with the tax it's a lot cheaper. Customs isn't always going to tax you. Just be sure to be honest on your custom's slip. We've brought more than what was allowed for alcohol (I like to collect unique bottles) and the customs agent never charged us any tax for it.
