Sofitel miami

Has anyone stayed here pre-cruise. They have great pricing ($130/night) with a free shuttle. Has wonderful reviews. Wondered if anyone has had first hand experience. Thanks.

Yes, we had a day room there before our transatlantic flight from Miami last year. It was very nice, and $130 sounds a good deal. Obviously we didn't pay that much for a day room, but it is the sort of hotel that I would definitely say was worth $130 per night. Big outdoor pool with very comfortable loungers, a nice restaurant,our room was certainly very clean and comfortable.

In my opinion, Sofitel is the best-in-class of MIA area hotels. It does lack (1) stores and restaurants within walking distance; and (2) a 'free' shuttle to the port.

Very nice hotel!!! There is a small retail park about 5-10 minute walk away. i did it as part of a package including a cruise ship transfer. I'd say go for it... I really liked the room!! :)
