Dinkiedo Posted October 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2012 My travel Agent says I paid for a 17 night cruise and can stay onboard the last night - even though the ship docks on the 16th day in Singapore. Does anyone know how this works? What facilities keep functioning? How does baggage get handled? Can you go ashore and return to the ship (like a hotel?) Please help! Anyone????
debshomespun Posted October 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2012 You arrive to Singapore on Dec. 8 at 7:00AM, and this day will be the same as though you are visiting for the day. You do not have to leave the ship until Dec. 9, at whatever time they begin to disembark passengers. So yes, you stay overnight on the ship Dec. 8. Wish I could join you on this cruise. Maybe next year! Enjoy!
Rare cruisestitch Posted October 21, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2012 As to what facilities keep functioning, all the bars and restaurants should be open as usual. Also the spa and its facilities. Since you are in port, the shops will be closed. Probably the casino will be closed as well. You may have to pick up and pay for any photographs you wish to buy early. That has varied from port to port when there have been overnights. Baggage goes out by 11 p.m. on December 8. You will disembark the ship on December 9 in the morning, probably before 9:
