Hollywood Beach Marriott Questions

Thinking of staying here pre-cruise, so we can use Marriott points. What restaurants or stores(for incidentals) are within walking distance of the hotel? Any idea what cab fare to Port Everglades would be? Thanks so much for any info!

Taxi to port or airport is about $30 plus or minus a couple of bucks.

 

There is a store "Wings" where you can pick up sun-tan lotion, snacks and beer a short walk down the broadwalk. Plenty of places to grab a pizza, sandwiches, Ben & Jerry's, etc. There are some nicer places close by, use the Hollywood trolley or grab a cab.

 

There is also a Walmart about 3-4 miles away. You can use the trolley to get down to the Crown Plaza and walk from there (about 1/2 mile) over the inter-coastal bridge.

 

We really like "Le Tub" for a great burger and fries. It is a really casual place with picnic table type seating overlooking the inter-coastal.

Also Joe's Tiki Bar (which is near LeTub on A1A) also has a good burger as well as a good grilled chicken sandwich. Taverna Opa has a nice Greek tavern atmosphere and is also on the intracoastal waterway, but be sure to keep track of what you order and read your bill line by line if you go to Opa.

I love the burgers at Le Tub. What a little dive but the food is so good. Bob:)
