It looks like Sandy could impact the eastern Bahamas on Friday on its way northward. At least that is what my meteorologist son is telling me! We are cruising out of Miami on Friday to GSC and Nassau. Hope it doesn't rain all weekend.

Also wondering about Sandy. Leaving out of Miami the 29th. Scheduled to be in Nassau the 30th (Tuesday) Hoping Sandy is gone by then. Fingers crossed :eek:

GSC is NCL's private island, Great Stirrup Cay. Trulaker - Sandy should be far north of Nassau by Tuesday!

i've been trying not to stress over the forecast. we have two new cruisers in our party and i'd hate for their first experience to be poor. we sail out of port canaveral on monday, coco cay on tuesday, and nassau wednesday. hope sandy gets out of the way by monday so seas aren't too bad.

 

thankfully, neither of our newbie cruisers have starts checking the weather forecast yet. but they'll know soon enough - they're spending four days in florida before we sail.

You will be o.k. At the most, she will pass Nassau as a weak cat. 1, or strong TS this Friday.

yes, i have new cruisers with me and we are scheduled to leave Friday and arrive in Nassau for Sat.. After a year of finally talking them into going, they agreed and now weather is looking pretty bad.. very nervous
