AMA, Avalon or Tauck for Christmas Market cruise?

Overall--which would you choose? Especially concerned about the beds and the quality of the food. Thanks

Is there a reason you aren't considering Uniworld? We did the Christmas markets on the Rhine with them, and considered it a great experience.

 

If you are only considering the 3 companies you have listed, everyone raves about Tauck. I can't speak to that experience, as I have not travelled with them --> But have never heard any complaints - although many will comment on the higher price.

Have done Avalon and AMA.

 

Avalon has the best beds. Memory foam and very comfortable and they do not feel like two beds pushed together. Very nice bathrooms as well.

 

AMA wins for food quality, variety and service; dining room layout; staff overall as well as entertainment. Also enjoyed the bike tour option and the fast walker option.

 

Have not cruised with Tauck as they include more than we want. We do not want to pay a premium for features we will never use, like airport transfers, additional group excursions, etc. The company has many fans and their boats look lovely but their pricing and inclusions do not suit our style and priorities.

Take a look at Vantage. We cruised with them from Budapest to Passau for the Xmas markets.
