FATJACK Posted October 28, 2012 #26 Share Posted October 28, 2012 Just like hotels such as Hyatt and Hilton cruise ships are not owned by companies such as Holland America or even Carnival just operated or managed.
bishop84 Posted October 28, 2012 #27 Share Posted October 28, 2012 Hi, Hammy...... Nice to see you posting. Does HAL own their ships or are they leased from Carnival Corp? They are owned by HAL Antillen N.V. of the Netherland Antilles who bare boat charters them to Holland America Line N.V. of the Netherlands. The operating company is Holland America Line Inc. of Seattle, USA

Australian family Posted October 29, 2012 #32 Share Posted October 29, 2012 Being part of the Carnival stable , they dont sell them....they send them to Australia...:D:D Exactly what I was thinking - P&O Australia take them on and then advertise as Australia's newest superliner. Then they charge over the top fares. :D:D
