And the same can be said for folks scheduled on the follow-up cruise. This happens. I assume that Oceania will do everything they can to make things right for their customers, to get them where they need to go. I have no experience in this area so I don't know what a top cruise line does in emergencies such as this. I expect, though, that not every passenger will be satisfied with their efforts. My first O cruise is on the 27th when the Regatta gets to Miami. I have purchased trip insurance. Would events such as this storm be covered with trip insurance? Oceania did their best to monitor the situation and update itineraries as we went along. The crew has been great! From the sound of the kvetching, some passengers are completely clueless about the devastation in NYC. Did they ever turn on the cable news in their staterooms? I wouldn't call what we had from the time we left Halifax until the following evening " minor swells". This was not our first cruise but it was the roughest. When the cruise director confesses to you that she slept with a waste basket by her bedside for the first time in 25 years I don't think she considered them minor.
